APSARA Authority Reopens Sunset Views at Preroop Temple

Phnom Penh, 16 May 2024 – The APSARA Authority, responsible for managing the Angkor archaeological park, is pleased to announce the reopening of sunset viewing at the Transfiguration Temple of Angkor, a significant cultural and tourist attraction. This reopening follows extensive repairs to areas within the temple deemed risky, ensuring safety for all visitors.

Effective immediately, national and international tourists, along with the general public, can once again experience the stunning sunsets that the Transfiguration Temple is famous for. This announcement is addressed to ministries, national and international institutions, local authorities, various associations, travel agencies, tour guides, tourist transport associations, tour operators, and citizens, inviting them to partake in and promote this unique experience.

The APSARA Authority extends a warm invitation to both local and international visitors to explore the enhanced and safe facilities at the Transfiguration Temple.
